A Guthrie man has been arrested and charged with rape that allegedly took place on August 28th in a Logan County field and residence.
Ford was arraigned on September 1st and a preliminary hearing has been set for September 22nd at 2:00. Ford pleaded not guilty and was given a $100,000 bond.
In the probable cause affidavit, Ford and a 23-year-old female rode in the back of a vehicle also occupied by two other males in the front when Ford, whom she did not know, placed his hands under the female’s shirt as she tried to slide away from him.
The female met the driver of the vehicle on an internet chat room.
Wal-Mart surveillance cameras verified what the female had told detectives as to the seating arrangement. Ford’s statement contradicted the seating arrangement that he gave to detectives.
Upon arriving back to a residence in Central Logan County, Ford told the female he was going to take her car and go to his house. The female told detectives she went with him because she did not want to leave her car with him. Ford admitted to driving to a field and not telling the female where he was going.
Once in an undetermined field, Ford forced the female to take her clothes off and forced her to have sex with him. The female stated that he told her that he had a gun and for her safety she complied with what she was told to do.
Ford then drove to his father’s house and forced the female to take a shower where she was later joined by Ford. Ford then told her to lay on the bed and again forced himself upon the female and required her to perform oral sex.
The following morning the female contacted Oklahoma City Police from a hotel. OKCPD contacted Guthrie Police, but then turned it over to the Logan County Sheriff’s Department.
