The City of Guthrie announced the national retailer would begin building the popular brand store along I-35 earlier this month.

Dirt work started last week at 722 Heather Road, which is north of the Sleep Inn hotel, for a 15,000 square feet of outdoor display, along with 19,000 square feet of traditional indoor retail space.

“The City is excited to welcome Tractor Supply to Guthrie,” Guthrie City Manager Bruce Johnson said. “The new store will provide another option for Guthrie residents to shop local which will in turn benefit city services from sales tax collected.”

The store is expected to open late summer.

Lucky Mini Storage received a special use permit from the City earlier in 2016 to construct new storage units along with plans for future development on the north side of College with visibility from I-35.
