Guthrie will once again be on the big screen after a movie production filmed scenes throughout the downtown area. One of the stars of the show had Guthrie in a buzz.
Director Sean McEwen filmed several scenes in the area for the upcoming movie Whaling. The show stars Tammin Sursok and Tom Felton.
Felton, 29, starred in the Harry Potter films as Draco Malfoy, while Sursok, 33, is best known for her roles as Dani Sutherland on Home and Away, Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless and Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars.

For the movie, Hayes Funeral Home was renamed Forever And A Day Funeral Home and was said to have been at 4501 N. Rutherford Way in Des Moines, Iowa.
