STILLWATER, Okla. – Meridian Technology Center and the Guthrie Public Library are partnering to provide free and low-cost technology training to district residents.
“The new Tech Tuesday series is designed to help people get more comfortable with technology,” explained Kim Strom, Computer Training Coordinator at Meridian Technology Center. “Each session will be hands-on and include practical tips that attendees can immediately put to use.”
Tech Tuesday topics will include tips for working with Windows 7 and Windows 10, techniques for better Internet searches, iPhone features you can’t live without and how to choose the right social media for your business.
During the month of August there will be three Tech Tuesday sessions. The first class, Tips for Working with Windows 7, will be offered from 1-3 pm on August 8. Additional sessions will be held on August 15 and 22. Starting in September, the Tech Tuesday classes will be held on the second Tuesday of the month.
“The Tech Tuesday partnership with the Guthrie Public Library is one way that Meridian can fulfill its mission to educate, enrich lives and secure economic futures,” Strom said.
Classes will be held at the library. Attendees can bring their own laptop or they can check one out at the library. For more information on the Tech Tuesday series or to register for a session visit meridiantech.edu/guthriecomputerclasses.
