Day 2: Water customers experiencing low water pressure

10:15 a.m. on Saturday – A water line has blown apart near the treatment plant once again. Expect another day of low water pressure until it can be resolved.

6:40p.m. — All valves are back open and people should start seeing improvement in water pressure slowly

8:30 a.m. — Water customers south of the Guthrie Water Treatment Plant are currently experiencing low water pressure and in some cases be without water until Friday afternoon.City of Guthrie officials say they went to turn the valves on in front of the treatment plant to tie into the new master meters that connect with the new Rural Water District 1 customers. However, the valve broke and has shut down.

An Oklahoma City company has been called in to help with a temporary fix, but will not arrive until Friday afternoon.

The effected customers will be from the treatment plant (1113 S. Division St.) to the south.

As the demand for water goes up today, customers may experience little to no water until the temporary fix has been completed.

Guthrie News Page will have more updates on this page as they come in.

Low water pressure? How about no water and for the past two days? Something needs to get done. The water seems to be an ongoing issue. Time for the town of Guthrie to stop up!
