“It’s quite unexpected,” Zserdin said. “It wasn’t anything on our agenda for the year, but we were presented with an opportunity that we just can’t pass up. Our investors have wanted us to be back on ground level.”

In December 2015, city council voted on a lease agreement to house the Chamber on the third floor of City Hall after the Chamber told officials their finances were “tight” following the split with the Convention Visitors Bureau (CVB) in October 2014.

“We could only do this because of your graciousness, your blessings and allowing us to be here for the last two years. We would not have been able to do this without you,” Zserdin said at Tuesday night’s city council meeting.

The Chamber will relocate to 110 W. Harrison – also known as the Acton Building.
