On average, June is the wettest month of the year for Oklahoma and over the weekend Guthrie saw over three inches fall.
Storms on Friday, Saturday and Sunday brought Guthrie officially 3.19 inches of rain, according to the Mesonet.
Rain gauges closer to the Guthrie Edmond Regional Airport reported a total of 3.60 inches of rain.
The U.S. Drought Monitor last showed most of Guthrie to be abnormally dry before the latest rains.
Along with the rain came the winds.
Several tree limbs and branches were spotted on the ground throughout the city and neighborhoods.
The Guthrie Fire Department responded to multiple arcing power lines throughout the city.
There were no reports of any major damage and no immediate injuries reported.
Temperatures for the rest of the week are expected to reach the mid 90’s, including 96 on Wednesday and Thursday.
