Update: Not even 24 hours later, EMSA has issued another heat alert due to the extreme heat. Read more… The Emergency Medical Services Authority have lifted the heat alert that was in effect for 58 days.
Many turned out to honor a wounded Guthrie soldier, on Saturday, at the Lazy E Arena. The hero’s tribute helped raise money for the solider and his family that may not be covered by his VA benefits.
Guthrie continues to scorch from this abnormal summer with temperatures reaching triple digits almost daily.
God’s Food Bank in Guthrie hosted a breakfast Saturday morning with all the fixings, including pancakes, eggs, sausage and juice at The First United Presbyterian Church.
