The annual Veteran’s Day Parade and program will be Friday morning in downtown Guthrie.
It’s the 13th Annual Family Fall Festival at First Christian Church and this year it’s loaded with tons of games and prizes. Sunday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. the community is invited to join in this free event featuring 19 indoor games and children receive prizes at every booth.

Golden Chick, the Dallas-based family of chicken restaurants will hold a Hurricane Harvey relief fundraiser on Tuesday, September 5. Ten percent of the sales from the day will go to the American Red Cross, with all funds being directed to specifically benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey throughout the Texas Gulf Coast.
Guthrie High School is collecting items to help benefit Houston and the surrounding areas that have been devastated recently by Hurricane Harvey.
