Law enforcement officers and fire departments throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas are going through a week-long training course in Guthrie to improve integration between law enforcement, fire, dispatchers and emergency medical services (EMS) for an active attack or shooter scenarios.
Logan County Deputies, along with Prevention Workz out of Enid, conducted alcohol compliance checks throughout Logan County this past Friday. An undercover minor completed an age perception test with the general public which vetted an average age of 17-years-old.

Guthrie Public Schools adopted their first elementary attendance zone map as the school district begins the transition of moving to neighborhood schools. The map will help determine what school building each student will attend next school year.
Many Guthrie school teachers and community members packed the administration building at Monday night’s school board meeting to voice their anger, concerns and the potential of teachers walking out of their classroom next month. School board members spoke and are standing behind their teachers.
The Oklahoma Education Association (OEA) will hold a press conference on Thursday to reveal their plan about a possible teacher strike. If teachers walk out and go on strike it could leave kids out of the classroom. Guthrie Public Schools (GPS) says they continue to discuss all possible actions.
