While an exciting weekend of women’s college basketball was taking place in Dallas with Mississippi State upsetting Uconn in the women’s Final 4, Guthrie Oklahoma’s own Braydin Russell was just down the road at Carol High School playing in the Middle School All-American game.

Four Bluejay Pride Wrestlers attended MyHouse Nationals in Allen, TX on March 11 and 12. Those attending were Jake Carey, Allyn Orndorff, Clayton Carey and Cade Carey. Three of the four wrestlers managed to place in the tournament.

Gene Stephenson built the Wichita State University baseball program from the ground up, taking the Shockers to seven College World Series and the 1989 NCAA championship. This past weekend, the Guthrie native was inducted into the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association.
