At around 9 am Monday morning the Guthrie Fire Department was called out to Ash Street due to a gas line break in the road.
Oklahoma Natural Gas is on the scene repairing the broken line. A part of Ash Street is being dug up to make the repairs.
The gas was turned off and fire crews left the scene shortly before 11:30 am.
The area has been blocked off at Noble, Broad, Warner and Ash streets. The gas can be smelled several blocks away with the south wind gusting up to 30 mph.
