Update: LCSO searching for runaway trustee

BREAKING — Trustee inmate Taton Savory, who escaped Monday afternoon, was taken into custody Tuesday morning just before 7 a.m. He was captured near Seward Road and Broadway to the west.


More details to come.

Update at 12:10 a.m. – The search by air has been terminated for Taton Savory. Law enforcement will continue to search on the ground throughout the morning.

Deputies encourage everyone if you see or hear anything involved in this case to call 282-4100.

Deputies are searching for Taton Savory who left 2315 SW 19th from a county work crew at 3:49 pm.

His direction of travel is unknown. However deputies suspect east from Logan County District One barn into a wooded area.

Subject was assigned as a trustee at the time he left his work assignment.
