Police chief elected to OACP board

Guthrie Police Chief Don Sweger was recently elected to serve on the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police board.


Sweger will serve as 2nd Vice President for the organization.

The OACP is an organization of law enforcement executives and their command support staff who promote professionalism in Oklahoma law enforcement.

Sweger was once named Officer of the Year by OACP and later served served as an executive member for the organization.

Sweger has been in law enforcement since 1994 and has served as the Guthrie police chief since Sept. 2014.
