Blakley, Rowley named Lions Students of the Month

Guthrie High School students Abby Blakley and Andrew Rowley were selected and honored by the Guthrie Lions Club for students of the month for November.


Abby, the daughter of Brett Blakley, was been involved with Rainbow for six years, Choir for four years, soccer for two years, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society and a member of the Victorian Singers.

She was selected for the Albert Pike Academic Achievement Award along with the ECOCDA Regional Honor Choir.

Abby plans to attend The University of Oklahoma.

Andrew, the son of Steve and Lannetta Rowley, is the head drum major for the GHS band and a member of the GHS cross country program, National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta.

The senior is an Albert Pike award winner and was named the Best Field Commander.

Andrew plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in aerospace engineering.
