An earthquake shook Guthrie and several nearby towns as the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a 4.3 quake at 3:52 p.m. It was definitely not the “normal” earthquake that is most commonly felt in Guthrie.
The epicenter was located west of S. Division and near the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport.
The depth of the quake was registered at 3.1 miles.
The quake was felt as far as Tulsa.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with this earthquake at this time, but several people said they had items fall off their walls and shelves.
Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
