Aaron Hartley recently signed to play college tennis at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas.
The senior made it official last week inside the Guthrie High School library surrounding by family and head coach Mary Hudson.
Hartley is partnered with Caden Hopfer this season as they compete in No. 1 doubles. The duo took second in the Public School Championships as they prepare for the Class 5A regionals and state.
the Southwestern College tennis program is led by head coach Jason Speegle.
“I love to help students succeed, on the court, in the classroom and beyond,” says Speegle. “My role at Southwestern is to help students earn their degrees and prepare them to be successful, responsible young men and women.”
So far in the 2017 season, Southwestern College is 12-12.
