A motorcyclist was rushed to a Oklahoma City hospital on Saturday afternoon after a pickup truck collided with his motorcycle on Sooner Road.
At about 1 p.m. emergency crews were dispatched to the area of Sooner and Division for a motorcycle-vehicle accident. When crews arrived they found a group of people tending to the motorcyclist, who was lying in the roadway.
According to police records, a red 2014 Dodge Ram driven by David Honeycutt, of Guthrie, failed to yield to the motorcycle and hit the left side of the cycle with the truck’s driver side fender.
The driver of the motorcycle, Daniel Nunn, 47, of Colony, Okla. suffered major trauma to his left leg.
Responding to the accident was the Guthrie Police Department, Guthrie Fire Department, Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The roadway was blocked for about an hour as crews cleared the scene.
