A nine-month pregnant woman was taken to a hospital Sunday evening after an apparent intoxicated driver came across the center line of State Highway 33 late Sunday evening.
Family members tell Guthrie News Page an oncoming vehicle appeared to cross the center line of the two-lane highway just east of May Ave near the Cedar Valley Golf Course.
Although, a report has not been released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, public records show Cheryl Jean Goodman, 58, of Guthrie, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and transporting an open container of beer.
A $2,000 bond was set.
Family members went on tell Guthrie News Page, Allison Hughes and the baby are doing fine after being transported via ambulance. Although, the first time mom-to-be suffered a nasty wrist injury.
The accident happened at around 9 p.m.
Both Goodman’s 2008 Jeep and Hughes’ Chevrolet pick up truck suffered major front end damage and were seen being escorted away by wreckers.
The accident caused the highway to be shut down for nearly 90 minutes in both directions.
