Everywhere you looked, whether on the ground or in the sky, airplanes were on display and shuttling kids through the air at the annual Fly-In Community Day at the Guthrie-Edmond Regional Airport.
Airport Manager Justin Heid says the event has doubled in attendance each year. Heid estimated an attendance of 1,500 on Saturday. In addition, the amount of aircrafts has also increased at the airport that was named the 2014 Oklahoma Airport of the Year.
Along with plane rides and tours, a free lunch was sponsored and served by Oklahoma State Bank with hamburger, hot dogs, chips and drinks.
