Alex Fields signs with Cumberland University

Guthrie High School’s Alex Fields will be taking his mat talents to Cumberland University. The senior made it official on Wednesday afternoon.

Fields will phenomenal in his senior campaign with a 35-4 record, including a regional championship and a state runner-up at the State Wrestling Championships in Oklahoma City.

Fields was joined by his family, teammates and coaches Justin Stevens and Jay Howard inside the school’s library.

Cumberland University, located in Lebanon, TN, participates in the NAIA and saw four wrestlers compete in the 61st Annual NAIA Wrestling Championships.
