All-around effort leads Bluejays past Kingfisher 10-0

Blaze Hastings carried Bluejays to a 10-0 victory over Kingfisher on Saturday at Squires with a strong game at the plate and on the hill.

Guthrie Baseball LogoHastings racked up three RBIs on three hits for Bluejays. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fourth innings.

Kingfisher couldn’t get anything going so long as Hastings was on the hill. Kingfisher managed just one hit off of Hastings, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his five innings of work.

Bluejays’ bats came to life in the fourth inning. In the inning Bluejays scored six runs.

Bluejays stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring four runs on an RBI double by Hastings, a sacrifice fly by Rowdy Reihs, and an RBI triple by Reed Roberts.
