The Guthrie Kiwanis Club held their annual Christmas auction this past Saturday and with the help of donated items raised $18,000 with additional donations still coming in.
“All monies raised stay in the Guthrie community and will be used to fund our youth programs such as Coats for Kids, Bring Up Grades, The Easter Egg Hunt, Punt Pass and Kick and our Kiwanis Scholarship Program,” Jerry Gammill with the Kiwanis Club said.
The auction portion raised $11,000 and an additional $7,000 was cash contributions from businesses and personal contributions.
The charity auction was broadcasted on City of Guthrie’s GTV20 and for the first time the video was streamed live on Guthrie News Page.
Gammill added, “Guthrie Kiwanis Club says ‘Thank You’ to the community. None of this would be possible without the continued support of our community.”
