The Guthrie boys basketball team was preseason No. 7, but fell out of the top 10 simply by default, but have made their way back to the No. 7 spot in the Week six rankings.

Guthrie did not play their first game until two weeks into the season and dropped out of the top 10. However, two wins over conference opponents, Shawnee and Western Heights, and the Jays are back.

Despite not losing a game this season, the returning 5A champions, Booker T, the Hornets (4-0) have fallen from the top spot to the second spot in way of the Ardmore Tigers (7-0). The Tigers won the Millwood Tournament and have top 10 wins against McGuinness and Star Spencer.

East Central drops two spots also despite their perfect record as Northwest Classen jumps into the top three. Tulsa Edison falls three spots after falling to 6A’s fifth ranked Muskogee Roughers.

Ardmore will look to defend their No.1 prevaling in their own tournament when they face 14th ranked Carl Albert. Guthrie will be challenged by 6A’s Yukon Millers in the first round of next week’s Ardmore Holiday Festival.
