BancFirst contest winner meet Steven Adams at the OKC zoo

On September 18, BancFirst hosted an event at the Oklahoma City Zoo where over 200 winners from BancFirst communities across Oklahoma had the opportunity to meet one of the biggest personalities in the NBA. BancFirst selected one winner from each BancFirst community to attend a VIP show and private Meet & Greet with Oklahoma City center Steven Adams.

Laura Minter was the lucky winner from Guthrie and she brought Jillian Minter, Jess Minter, and Jalen Fulwiley as guests.

Adams put on a show for guests with the help of Oklahoma City Zoo sea lions and their trainers. Between a dance-off between Steven and the sea lions and volunteers from the crowd participating in a sea lion ring toss competition with the basketball star, there was never a dull moment. The crowd enjoyed every minute of the fun.

After the VIP show ended, the participants had the opportunity to meet and have a photo taken with Steven.

“This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our winners to get up close and personal with one of their favorite NBA players,” remarked BancFirst Guthrie president LaVerne Dowding.

“There were Oklahomans from all across the state and from every walk of life that were sharing this experience together. That sense of community is exactly what BancFirst stands for.”
