Bancfirst launches “Support Our Schools” drive

BancFirst Guthrie is collecting school supply donations to support the efforts of teachers
in the Guthrie school district.

“We are pleased to serve as a collection point for supplies teachers may need during the
school year,” stated BancFirst Guthrie president, LaVerne Dowding. “We hope the support our employees and customers provide will help our teachers in the upcoming school year. Education is the foundation of our state. We want to help in any way we can.”

Unused school supplies can be dropped off at your local BancFirst location through
August 11, 2017. Suggested donation items include: Binders, colored pencils, calculators
construction paper, copier paper (color and plain), crayons, dry erase markers, erasers, folders, glue, highlighters, paper clips, paper (lined/3-hole), pencil cases, pencils, ink pens, rulers, scissors, tissues and writing pads.

BancFirst will work with school administrators to distribute the supplies to the teachers.

“Similar to our annual food drive, we hope the success of this year’s school supply drive will become something our teachers can look forward to each year,” Dowding added.
