If you have traveled to the country side of Tennessee, Virginia or even the Flint Hills of Kansas you may have seen a barn quilt. Barn Quilt Trails are now a cultural tourism phenomenon that stretches across the U.S. with trails in more than 26 states.
Barn Quilts are hand-painted copies of quilt squares, typically painted on plywood, displayed on farm structures or other buildings.
Make your very own barn quilt at our upcoming Barn Quilt Workshop, October 7 from 9 – 4 p.m. at the Logan County Fairground Educational Building. Click here for registration.
Cost to participate is $25 and includes pre-painted wood square, painting supplies, custom mixed paint and instructions. You need to provide your own sack lunch.
Registration deadline is September 27 at the Logan County OSU Extension Center. For more information on this or other similar topics, please call Cynthia Klumpp at the Logan County OSU Extension Center at 405-282-3331
