Blake Belcher was going to be on the top 10 list. It was just a matter of where.
The Oklahoman annually takes a look at the top list of football players in the state of Oklahoma and you can count on most years you are going to find a Guthrie BlueJay on the list.
Last year it was Kentrell Brothers, who was named The Oklahoman’s All-State Defensive Player of the Year, and this season it is Belcher at No. 6 overall in the Super 30.
Belcher is regarded as the second best offensive lineman behind Douglass’s Cayman Bundage on the list.
Belcher (6’6, 270) will be a three-year started for the Jays and will continue to command the left side of the line of scrimmage at left tackle. The senior has several Pac 12 offers, including from Oregon State, Stanford and Arizona to go along with Tulsa and Kansas among others.
