The Logan County Sheriff’s Office announced the David Wade family has set up a memorial fund to benefit the needs of his wife and kids.
Donations can be made at any BancFirst location by mentioning the “Benefit fund for David Wade” and any branch will be able to deposit the funds directly into the correct account.
Donations can be made in person or mailed directly to the BancFirst branch in Guthrie at 202 W. Oklahoma in Guthrie.
Chief Deputy Don Hudgins says, “There are also several private individuals who are working on raffles, auctions and other fund raising efforts which will also be forwarded to the family. I would urge you to do a little research before choosing how to donate.”
Deputy David Wade, 40, was shot and killed on Tuesday morning as he helped with an eviction notice at a Mulhall home. Following a manhunt, Nathan LeForce was taken into custody and is charged with first degree murder. LeForce now faces the possibility of life in prison or the death penalty.
