After 33 years of law enforcement, Bill Warner has called it a career. The long-time Guthrie resident is now enjoying retirement.
Warner started his career with the Guthrie Police Department in 1972 as a patrolman. He left the force after eight years and reach as high as the assistant police chief.
In 1980 he went to work at Western Electric in Oklahoma City as a security investigator. He retired from Western Electric / A T & T / Lucent Technologies after 22 years, retiring in 2002.
In Sept 2007 he went to work for Logan County Sheriff Office where he served as a deputy, Major in the Detention Center and jail administrator. In total, Warner spent six years with the Sheriff’s Office.
“We want all our citizens to congratulate Bill Warner on his achievements and tenure at the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and to join us in wishing him happiness and health in his well-deserved retirement,” a released by the Sheriff’s Office. Bill has most recently served as a Major in the Detention Center where his role was that of Jail Administrator until he began planning his retirement. Since that time Bill has been enjoying the open roads of Oklahoma transporting prisoners for the Sheriff’s Office to various destinations.

Warner is married (Kathy) and has two sons and three grandchildren.
