Despite five hits, Bluejays lost 19-1 to Carl Albert on Thursday.
Bluejays was led by Jacob Chappell’s hitting. Chappell went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning.
Carl Albert pounded Guthrie’s pitching, as seven hitters combined for 15 hits, 17 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
The lone run of the game for Bluejays crossed the plate in the first inning on a solo home run by Chappell.
Carl Albert never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on two singles.
Carl Albert increased its lead with 10 runs in the second. Steve Thompson kicked things off with a double, plating Garrett Wages and James Jackson. That was followed up by Corey Zangari’s blast, scoring Justice Weese, Gavin LaValley and Steve.
