Bluejays set for semifinal showdown against Newcastle; game broadcast on NFHS Network

The Guthrie Bluejays are back in playoff action this Friday night following a bye week, poised for a state semifinal game for the first time since their 2013 championship season. The Bluejays, with a season record of 9-3, will face off against the Newcastle Racers, who also bring a 9-3 record into this pivotal matchup.

The winner of this game will advance to the state championship next week, held at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. Friday’s contest will take place on neutral ground at Putnam City Stadium, located at 5300 NW 50th St, Oklahoma City, with a kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.

Fans accustomed to watching the Bluejays on Guthrie News Page’s GNP TV will need to make alternative plans, as the game will not be streamed there. The broadcast rights for all postseason games under the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) are held by the NFHS Network, which has opted to stream the semifinals and state championship games.

Subscriptions to the NFHS Network are available for those wishing to watch the game online. A 30-day pass costs $11.99 and provides access to all playoff games, including the 12 championship matchups.
