The Guthrie Board of Education will hold a special board meeting on Friday morning. The board is expected to vote on sending a proposal for a school bond issue to the public in November.
The seven-member board will meet at 7:30 a.m. to consider and take possible action on calling for the special election.
In the school board packet, it states the school district’s purpose of asking for the issuance of bonds is for constructing, equipping, repairing and remodeling school buildings and acquiring school classroom technology equipment.
If approved, the election will be held on Nov. 4.
In addition, the board will consider action with the negotiated agreement between the district and the Guthrie Association of Classroom Teachers for 2014-15.
Also, action will be considered on the school bus drivers and riders handbooks.
