The body of a man found near Highway 105 and Henney Road has been identified by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities say the body found was Bunk Frank Pergl, 35 of Guthrie. They say he was identified through a missing persons report from July 7.
The clothing and unique jewelry located on the remains were consistent with the missing person, and were positively identified by family members.
Pergl lived nearby where he was located yesterday.

Any word on the Cause of Death ? they said that he was located near where he lived!! That close and NO ONE KNEW WHERE HE WAS ?
someone was not looking very hard. again the sheriffs dept. failed at there job they should have found him.
That’s it ? I had to click on two different pages to get here and this is the story? Why didn’t you just go ahead and put a 30 second commercial on before we can read the story about some useless product we will never use ? There are only about 40 to 50 questions the public has on a story like this. Logan County is not OK county we don’t have dead bodies every 24 hours laying on our streets and highways. Logan County News in any form is terrible….not the news but the reporting there of !!
If you don’t like what GNP does then leave the page and never come back. Use the worthless a** newspaper for your Guthrie news.
I’m sure there will be more reported as it is released. If you don’t like how GNP is on top of things as they occur, I’m sure you can wait 3-4 days and get a newspaper. Guthrie has never had anyone as dedicated to reporting the news as they have now and people still aren’t happy. Absolutely amazing.
I think they do a fine job. other than the death on one of our rigs. at hwy 74 and 33 sunday.
there was no news on it.
Here is the report from a “real” news source rocker. http://www.koco.com/news/oklahomanews/around-oklahoma/Body-of-man-found-in-Logan-County-ID-d/-/12530084/17767022/-/11keknx/-/index.html It should look familiar.
I think GNP does a great job keeping us informed of what’s going on in our community. Keep up the good work and thanks for all that you do.
Some people are never happy. Keep up the good work.
His family and friends had made several inquries to the police about finding him. They gave them all the information they had. He told his family he was going for a walk, and he never turned. It saddens me that the police were not as through as they should have been in searching the area despite what they told the family.
