A judge has set bond at $5 million for the suspect accused in a recent shooting and high-speed pursuit in downtown Guthrie.
25-year-old Michael Brendaniel Adeniran appeared by video before Judge Diane Vaughan on Tuesday afternoon, with the state represented by Assistant District Attorney Sarah Conley.
During the hearing, the defendant was formally advised of his rights and the four charges filed against him, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, stalking, attempting to elude an officer, endangering others, and engaging in a pattern of criminal offenses
The court set bond at $5,000,000 and ordered that the defendant have no contact with the named victim in the case.
The charges stem from a stalking case that led to a shooting and subsequent pursuit in Guthrie and into Oklahoma City.

The shooting occurred at around 2:43 p.m. in the 300 block of East Oklahoma Avenue. According to multiple witnesses who spoke with Guthrie News Page, a male suspect was seen shooting into a silver vehicle before fleeing the scene in another vehicle.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office initiated a vehicle pursuit, with speeds reported to exceed 100 miles per hour. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol joined the pursuit after it reached 2nd Street in Edmond.
The female victim drove away from the scene and was found with multiple gunshot holes and several windows shot out. She sustained gunshot wounds to her shoulder and both legs. She was transported by Guthrie EMS to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Former employees said they were in disbelief when they found out Adeniran was the lone suspect in the case. They described him as a hard worker and friendly to all.
The case has been scheduled to return to court on March 5, 2026, at 2 p.m.
