Bond set at $5M for Logan County man accused in domestic stabbing case

Don Gable is accused of stabbing his wife multiple times at their home in southern Logan County.

A Logan County man accused of stabbing his wife remains in jail after bond was set at $5 million during a court appearance on Tuesday.

The defendant, 71-year-old Don Gable, appeared by video before Judge Diane Vaughan, who advised him of his rights and the charge of assault and battery by means or force likely to produce death filed against him.

Deputies responded to reports last Friday of a woman being stabbed by a male, later revealed to be her husband. She sustained multiple stab wounds allegedly inflicted by her husband Gable. Related article: Wife hospitalized, husband jailed after domestic stabbing

A family member, believed to be the couple’s son, intervened to stop the attack.

The next court date is set for September 12, 2024, at 2 p.m.
