The pre-season high school basketball polls are starting to roll in and the primary rankings, the coaches poll, has the Jays ranked at No. 7 in Class 5A.
The Oklahoma, the state’s largest newspaper, released their pre-season boys basketball rankings and the Jays come in at No. 8. The coaches poll is the official rankings when it comes to establishing playoff seedings.
Tulsa Washington is the unanimous No. 1 team after winning last years title and graduating just one starter.
Guthrie will look to improve off an18-9 season agothat saw them come up a game short of their fifth straight state tournament berth.
