Guthrie senior Kentrell Brothers was on every post season football list there was in the state for his gridiron performances. He continues the post season honors, but this time in on the hard wood.
Brothers, a football commit for Missouri, was named to the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Association All Star team. The three largest classes (6A, 5A, and 4A) will split into teams and compete on June 11th at Oklahoma Baptist University.
Brothers was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Suburban Conference for the second straight year and was named to the first team all conference team.
Brothers led the BlueJay squad in scoring in both his junior and senior years with 14 points and was a key component in the Jays winning back-to-back state championships in 2008 and 2009.
Expect Brothers to be named to a few more basketball post season honors.
