At the Make Promises Happen Neuromuscular Camp in Guthrie, you can be who you want to be. Camper Adrian Cruz said, “It’s hilarious. Fun to be silly. It’s a big part of my life. The most fun all year. You’re really encouraged to do anything.”
Which is huge for Adrian Cruz.
He’s never without his ventilators, which limits his activities, but not this week.
It’s the only camp of its kind in the nation because it’s offered to young adults older than 17.
There’s nearly a one-to-one camper/counselor ratio with normal summer camp activities adapted just for them.
