It was something people in Logan County have known, but now the U.S. Census Bureau is backing it up.
Logan County is not only the fastest growing county in the state, but among the top in the nation when it comes to new housing units.
According to the Census Bureau, Logan County was the 68th fastest growing in the nation in a release this week when it comes to new housing units.
The report numbers are from the 2010 census counts beginning with April 1, 2010, to July 1, 2011.
In the data, it shows in increase from 17,276 to 17,598, or 2% in estimated housing units.
The increase of new homes in the county is centered in southern Logan County.
Two other Oklahoma counties made the top 100 list with Canadian County coming in at 98th and Comanche County ranking 100th.
