Hello! Spring break is almost upon us! Guthrie Public Schools and Langston University will be out to enjoy this wonderful spring like weather from the 16th through the 20.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute is having a Blood Drive, April 16 from noon to 6pm in the cafeteria at Mercy Hospital Logan County on 200 S. Academy. To sign up with the lab call 260-4195. Each donor received a Hero T-Shirt, health screenings and a donor rewards point.
A Fishing Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April 11th at Guthrie Lake. Registration is between 7:30 and 9 am, fishing is from 8am to 11am and lunch is from 11:30am to 1pm. Adults are $20, kids under 15 are $15. Registration included fishing tournament, entry, lunch and t-shirt. Participant must register by March 27. State fishing license required for all participants 16 years and older, including those assisting a younger participant. Tournament rules, categories and a list of prizes will be available at the event. Bring your own lawn chairs as none will be provided. Luckily, there’s one on hand…and his name is Shrek.
March 18 Lenten Lunch will be hosted by First United Methodist Church with Mike DeMoss speaking on Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Donations are accepted.
