The Guthrie Chamber of Commerce held their annual banquet on Feb. 25 and was described as a success.
With a theme of “We Love Guthrie,” the banquet had a great turnout by packing in the Guthrie Job Corps.
Special education teacher at Guthrie Upper Elementary, Kara Walters, was named Teacher of the Year.
Guthrie Superintendent, Dr. Mike Simpson, was named the Citizen of the Year.
Evelyn Nephew was honored with the Life Time Achievement award.
Verla Raines was named the Jon Gumerson Memorial Volunteer of the Year.
Logan County Mercy Hospital was awarded the Business of the Year.
