Chappell, Mathena win conference title

Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena eased their way to the conference championship in No. 1 doubles action before facing a tough Deer Creek opponent. As expected, it was a battle to the end with the Lady Jays coming away with the 7-6, 7-5 win.

As a team, Deer Creek took the conference title with Guthrie following in second place.

On the boys side, Carl Albert was determined conference champions with the BlueJays finishing in fifth place.

For third she defeated Carl Albert 6-1, 6-0

#2 Singles Heidi Kuruvilla placed 3^rd

In the second round she lost to Shawnee 6-3, 6-3
In the match for third she defeated WesternHeights 4-6, 6-4, 7-5

#1 Doubles Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena placed 1^st
In the first round they defeated Chickasha 6-1, 6-0
In the second round they defeated Carl Albert 4-6, 6-0, 6-2
In the finals they defeated Deer Creek 7-6, 7-5

#2 Doubles Sarah Howells and Ryan Robbins placed 2^nd
