Cheyenne Royal takes third in Bartlesville

On April 8, the Guthrie tennis teams traveled to the annual Bartlesville Tournament.

Girls #1 Singles Cheyenne Royal placed 3rd
She defeated Ponca City in the first round 6-0, 6-0
In the second round she lost in three sets to McAlester 4-6, 6-2, 5-10
In the match for 3^rd place she defeated Sand Springs 6-3, 6-0

Girls #2 Singles Heidi Kuruvilla placed 4th
In the first round she defeated Owasso in three sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-7
In the match for 3^rd she lost to Sand Springs 1-6, 3-6

Girls #1 Doubles Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena won consolation
They lost their first round in three sets to McAlester 6-4, 3-6, 9-11
In the next round they defeated Ponca City 6-0, 6-0
In the consolation finals they defeated Muskogee 6-4, 6-2

Girls #2 Doubles Sarah Howells and Ryan Robbins placed 3rd|
The defeated Tahlequah in the first round 6-1, 6-0
In the second round they lost to Bartlesville in three sets 3-6, 6-2, 6-10
In the match for 3^rd place they defeated McAlester 6-2, 6-3

Boys #1 Singles Adam Beery placed 7th
