Children: We really want new clothes for our mommy

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to make Christmas special for a family of five small children. The family in need currently can not afford a Christmas tree or gifts.

While working on a report on Monday morning, investigators came across a family with five children under the age of seven years with no hopes of receiving gifts this holiday.

Chief Deputy Richard Stephens says they have started all professional means for help, but is hopeful to be able to assist the family with their needs sooner than later.

The Sheriff’s Office has established a drop box in their lobby (216 S. Broad). Citizens can meet with organizers to discuss financial donations as well.

Ages of the children are two seven-year-old females wearing sizes 7-8, a six-year-old male wearing sizes 5-6, two-year-old female size wearing 4-6 and an eight-month-old female.Items in need include a tree with decorations (artificial), unwrapped toys, cloths, coats, shoes. More detailed information is listed below, including their “wish list.”

The mother (grandmother) and father are in need of clothes and shoes.
