Updated at 7:04 p.m. — ODOT has closed down Highway 77 due to flood waters.
Original Article — The Cimarron River, north of Guthrie, is threatening to come out of its bank for the second time this week.
Logan County Emergency Manager David Ball and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation are watching the river on Highway 77 as it continues to climb.
Ball says the National Weather Service is expecting the river to crest at 1 a.m. Sunday. The crest is expected to be at 21 feet.
Earlier this week the highway was shutdown when the river reached at 19.5 feet.
The latest measurement at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday came in at 18.69 feet.
Most of the county saw nearly 1.50 inches of rain on Friday night.
