City crews wrapped up two road projects as part of the Street Corridor Improvement Project.
Hillcrest Drive and the road behind the Water Treatment Plant that connects with Mineral Wells Park were two projects set forward by the city council. In addition, the entrance to the treatment plant was upgraded.
Hillcrest Drive’s new surface will aid with the high school and elementary school traffic. The stretch of road required approximately 6309 square yards of asphalt.
The new entrance at Fairgrounds Road and the Water Treatment Plant enhances the area as people drive into town and takes care of the heavy trucks that make deliveries to the plant.
The Mineral Wells Park roads required approximately 898 yards of asphalt and the road between the Fairgrounds and the park required 1,164 square yards.
The road inside the park will also help with the new Community Garden that has been established.
