City of Guthrie announces new Planning Director

The City of Guthrie announced and welcomed Daniel Kassik as the new City Planner and Grant Administrator on Monday.

Kassik holds a degree in Geography from the University of Iowa. He served in the United States Navy, May 1987 to December 1991, Honorable Discharge.

His career experience is inclusive of but not limited to serving five years as Senior Planner for Kings County, California and 12 years as City Planner for Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

City Manager Leroy Alsup stated that he is pleased to have Kassik join the City of Guthrie’s management team and looks forward to his active involvement in the community.

Kassik will begin his duties with the City on Monday, April 8.
