Beginning this week the City of Guthrie will be expanding the days that the City splash pads at Mineral Wells Park and Banner Park are open seven days a week from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
“Thank you to our residents and visitors for being patient and understanding as we’ve had to make responsible decisions regarding our municipal water use this summer,” City Manager Eddie Faulkner said.
This past May due to low water levels, City officials elected not to open the municipal pool for the summer and limit the time used of splash pads.
“We are excited that the rainfall over the last few weeks has allowed us to make these great park amenities more available to children and families,” Faulkner said.
