Ever wanted to serve on a City of Guthrie board? Now, is your chance as the City is searching for dedicated volunteers who advise the City Council on a variety of matters.
Several boards and commissions are in need, including the following:
Board of Adjustment – The Board of Adjustment reviews appeals in the enforcement of zoning ordinances and makes recommendations to the City Council. The Board of Adjustment meets at 5:30 p.m. the 3rd Thursday of each month. For requirements and an application, click here.
Forestry Advisory Board – The Forestry Advisory Board advises City Council on issues regarding the development of a community forestry plan and improvement of the urban forest resources within the City. The Forestry Advisory Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of January, April, July, and October. For requirements and an application, click here.
Park Board – The Park Board advises the City Council on matters pertaining to Guthrie City parks and recreational areas. The Park Board meets bi-monthly, with the next meeting scheduled for November 20th, 2014. For requirements and an application, click here.
